Beth Slaughter is originally from California where she obtained her bachelor's degree in psychology from Humboldt State. She furthered her higher education at Cal State Fresno, obtaining her master's degree in social work. She is also a licensed social worker.
Beth's love of the outdoors brought her to the Pacific Northwest in 2010.
Beth served our Veterans as a Psychiatric Social Worker and then worked for Madigan Hospital at the Joint Base Lewis-McChord south of Tacoma. Beth has been serving older adults since 2002. Prior to joining 1st CHOICE, she worked for Kaiser Permanente as well as for Kaiser Home Health & Hospice as a medical social worker.
Beth enjoys reading, gardening, paddleboarding and traveling.

Wonderful People for Difficult Times. Beth Slaughter at 1st Choice was amazing to work with while looking for a facility for my aunt. After a hospitalization, there was a major time crunch to find an appropriate home fast. She worked tirelessly through the weekend to help us find a short term respite facility as well as a permanent home after that. Dealing with a loved one with dementia is extremely difficult, but 1st Choice does SO much work for you and makes it less stressful to find the right fit for you. And it doesn't cost you anything! I highly recommend them. They really care and their knowledge of the industry is unmatched.

I would like to express my gratitude regarding my experience with Beth Slaughter who works for 1st Choice Advisory Services, Inc. Beth completed a thorough exploration on the expectations I had in regards to a home for my mother. She set up visits to homes she thought would be a good fit and were available. She took the time to discuss with me the pros and cons of each home. She has checked back with me several times to see how things were going. I had such a good experience that I have referred many people to 1st Choice. I would highly recommend.
