With a BS degree in Occupational Therapy from Loma Linda University, Shelley brings over 30 years' experience serving older adults and their families. Her clinical background and extensive work in acute care and skilled nursing settings, let her develop a deep understanding of the physical, emotional, and functional needs of aging individuals.
In addition to her clinical expertise, Shelley has built a well-rounded career across the senior care continuum; roles in senior living and homecare sales, skilled nursing case management, and housing & care advising. This background allows her to bridge healthcare, care coordination, and housing options, providing families with informed, practical guidance.
Her goal is to support families in finding the senior living community or care solution that best fits their loved one's needs. She is committed to ensuring families feel informed, empowered, and supported, while reducing the stress and time involved in their search.
Outside of her professional work, Shelley enjoys spending time with her husband, two grown sons, and friends, along with her miniature dachshund, Shotzie. She also loves reading, traveling, and discovering new coffee shops.

Shelley Guzik's resourcefulness is PRICELESS. We were at our wit's end finding a place for my father, who had been eloping from home and wandering lost, and whose exit-seeking had ramped up after our first attempt with a senior living facility. Within a few hours of our initial contact, Shelley found precisely the facility we needed, at barely-affordable cost, mind you, as we were still in the grueling bureaucratic process of resolving Dad's debts and securing his assets to fund his care. Within days he was comfortable, safe, and secure. Our family cannot recommend 1st Choice highly enough.
